My husband fell in love with Korean food while working at a textile factory owned by Koreans in California. I too fell in love with the food when I would go out there to stay with him. Our whole family had the pleasure of eating a delicious home cooked Korean meal at one of his friends houses while there. We often ate at Korean restaurants as well. We missed this after moving back to NC, where the closest Korean restaurant is about a four hour drive from us.

This book is filled with stories, recipes and photos gathered by the authors from Korean neighborhoods all across the country.   A pleasure to read and brings back memories for us. I can’t wait to dive in and start cooking some of the delicious sounding recipes. I just need to gather up a few ingredients when I get to the big city.

There is even a chapter called Respect: Guest Recipes. In this chapter some famous chefs put a spin on recipes while using their favorite Korean ingredients. Looking forward to trying the Korean Sloppy Joes from this chapter among other things. If you enjoy Asian food then this is a must have to add to your collection.
